  Cavern Club - on Beginning

Cavern Club was open on 16 January 1957 in Mathew street  in Liverpool as jazz music club. 21 year old Alan Sytner as pub owner and jazz music promoter and admirer, decided to organize in pub basement music club.

This Club named as Cavern Club (name comed from basement location) and in consequence became as the most known music place in Great Britain.

But, despite performances in club of the best performers of jazz music, the enterprise of special success did not bring. It affected the income and it became the main reason for making decision by the owner to sale of Cavern Club.

The club was located at two levels: the first - from street entrance, was a usual pub, the second - was "concert hall" - below in a basement without windows. The situation more than modest - a low ceiling, brick walls without plaster and shabby old chairs from the 1930s.

It is necessary to remember that time 1950s was postwar periode and claims for expensive and to beautiful could be a very little.

Fans of the jazz could now not be more, because this form music to the middle 50s not was new. Playing several decades in a row, practically the same rhythm, and therefore even performance of the glorified star cann't attract new hundreds people to participation in concert. The jazz public generally age more as 30. Such people have enough various deals without music. Therefore the jazz for such public, as rest, was in the weekend with the glass beer in hands.

Bob Wooler's participation is observed practically from the club beginning.

The new Cavern Club owner in 1959 decided to be Ray McFall. Similar age with Bob Wooler. And, what we have look, as person easy to news and changes.
